Targeted by Lynette Eason, Lynn H. Blackburn, and Natalie Walters

I love reading novellas so when three are combined into one book by authors that I love, I jump at the chance to get a copy. Targeted by Lynette Eason, Lynn H. Blackburn and Natalie Walters is a book in which all three novellas will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

The first novella, On the Run, by Lynette Eason, is the story of FBI agent Daria Nevsky. Daria is an IT Specialist who can hack into any computer, and Dr. Ryker Donahue who is an ER doctor. Daria is attacked within the first few pages and she ends up driving her attacker's car from Quantico, VA down to Asheville, NC, and ends up in Dr. Donahue's ER. When Daria goes in search of answers, Ryker decides he can't let her go alone. This was an awesome addition to this book.

The second novella, Deadly Objective by Lynn H. Blackburn was the story of Emily Dixon, a physical therapist, and Secret Service Agent Liam Harper. Emily is tasked to give physical therapy to the Vice President's son, Mason and it is Liam's job to keep Mason in line. When someone tries to kidnap Mason, Emily and Liam find themselves working together to keep him safe. I loved that the story began with a relationship already beginning between Emily and Liam and I loved their playful teasing. Another excellent addition to the book.

The third and final novella, Caught in the Crosshairs by Natalie Walters was the story of CIA officer Claudia Gallegos and Army PSYOPS officer Ari Blackman. When Claudia walks in on the murder of a Saudi Prince she finds herself being implicated in his murder. Ari is assigned to help her but Claudia doesn't trust anyone, especially Ari as he is known as being a "player" and she can't help but notice how handsome he is. But as time progresses and Ari saves her more than once Claudia begins to realize he is more than just a 'pretty boy'.

All three novellas are fast-paced and give the reader a roller coaster ride to the finish. I loved all six of the main characters. All three authors are great at creating believable characters and that is something that is very important to me. So, if you love fast-past romantic suspense I would highly recommend picking up a copy of Targeted.

I give each novella 5 Stars!

Body of Evidence by Irene Hannon

Back Copy

THE DEAD DON'T GIVE UP
THEIR SECRETS EASILY

Forensic pathologist Grace Reilly has seen her share of unusual deaths in rural Missouri. But when she begins to notice a curious pattern in autopsies of older residents whose demises appear to be natural, she takes her concerns to Sheriff Nate Cox.

Nate is skeptical about the link Grace is seeing between the deaths, as well as her suspicions of foul play. But her persistence is compelling. and once they join forces to investigate, danger follows. Because exposing the truth could destroy several lives--including Grace's.

Queen of inspirational romantic suspense Irene Hannon closes out her bestselling Triple Threat series with this gripping tale of secrets revealed and romance sparked.

My Review

The third and final book in Irene Hannon's "Triple Threat" series, Body of Evidence, was a great conclusion to the series.

The characters, forensic pathologist Grace Reilly and Sheriff Nate Cox were both crafted to be believable, life-like people. Both characters have their flaws but the electric charges that spark the pages every time they meet lets the reader know these two are destined to be together.

Ms. Hannon has created a page-turner that I found hard to put down. The characters involved throughout the book kept me guessing as to who the murderer was.

If you like a good clean romantic suspense novel then you won't go wrong by picking up a copy of Body of Evidence. While this is the third book in the series it can be read as a stand-alone.

I would highly recommend this book and award it 5 Stars!

Concrete Evidence by DiAnn Mills

A FAULTY CONSTRUCTION JOB.
THE DISCOVERY OF A DEAD BODY.
A SINISTER PLOT.

On the family's Brazos River Ranch in Texas, Avery Elliott helps run her grandfather's commercial construction business. Raised by Senator Elliott, Avery has never doubted her grandfather is the man of integrity and faith she's always believed him to be...until the day she finds him standing with a gun over the body of a dead man. To make matters worse, Avery's just discovered a billing discrepancy for materials supposedly purchased for construction of the Lago de Cobre Dam.

Desperate for answers, Avery contacts FBI Special Agent Marc Wilkins for help. As Marc works to identify the dead man Avery saw, threats toward Avery create a fresh sense of urgency to pinpoint why someone wants to silence her. With a hurricane approaching the Texas coast and the structural integrity of the Lago de Cobre Dam called into question, time is running out to get to the bottom of a sinister plot that could be endangering the lives of not only Avery and her loved ones but the entire country.

MY REVIEW:

I am a HUGE fan of the work by DiAnn Mills. She has never disappointed me and with her newest release, Concrete Evidence, I can honestly say I wasn't disappointed with this release either. She knows how to craft a Christian Romantic Suspense novel so that the reader is pulled into the action from the first page and carried through to the last page. I can honestly say it was hard to not put it down when I needed to.

The characters in Concrete Evidence, Avery Elliott, her Grandfather Senator Quinn Elliott, and FBi Special Agent Marc Wilkins were all so captivating to me. I loved the love that pulsated through the conversations between Avery and her Grandad. They stole my heart. Then the interaction between Avery and Marc was electric. But the action that really brought me to tears at times was the interaction between Marc and his 'newfound' 15-year-old sister, Tessa. It was so precious.

I can't say enough about this novel. It is so well written with great characters that stole my heart. If you like a clean romantic suspense novel then I would highly recommend picking up a copy of Concrete Evidence.

On a 5-Star Scale - 5 HUGE Stars!!!

Deception by Patricia Bradley

Patricia Bradley's newest book, Deception, is book number four in her "Natchez Trace Park Rangers" series. It is extremely fast-paced and will keep you reading long into the night trying to figure out who all the bad guys are.

The main characters are Madison Thorn, an ISB (Investigative Services Bureau) Ranger, and Clayton Bradshaw a park ranger for the Natchez Trace. These two meet early in the story and later realize they knew each other as kids. I really enjoyed getting to know each of these characters who were both flawed in one way or another. Madison had trust issues as well as forgiveness issues. Clayton had a gambling addiction that he is overcoming because he has grown close to the Lord and he also has forgiveness issues that he is working on. Ms. Bradley did an excellent job of creating all the characters in this book.

There are so many twists and turns in this story that it seemed almost impossible that Ms. Bradley would get them all addressed, but she tied things up quite nicely.
Although, I would love at least one more book in the series that would tell Dani's story and let her and Madison have more time to bond.

I truly enjoyed this romantic suspense novel and the Christian thread through it. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves fast-paced clean romantic suspense novels.

On a 5-Star scale I give it 5 Stars!

I would like to thank Revell Books, for my copy of Deception. I received my copy for free with no expectation of a positive or negative review.  The opinions are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR. Part 255.

When I was in the 3rd grade, I checked out a book from the school bookmobile four times in a row (I read it four times too). Upon the fifth attempt to check it out, the librarian told me I couldn't check it out anymore as other children would like to read it. I read a lot in my youth and even more in my adult years, but this one single book has stuck in my mind for all these years. Now mind you, I haven't read it in 61 years but I started thinking about it and wondered why I loved the book so much (other than the fact it was about a dog). So, today, I received a package at my door. I was able to purchase a used copy for $4.75. When I held it in my hands I cried with pure joy. The book... JUNKET by Anne H. White is about an Airedale dog who lives in the country and teaches a family how to live in the country as well. I'm sure it is just as wonderful as my age 8 self remembers and once I read it again, it will have a place of honor on my Keeper Shelf.

Critical Alliance by Elizabeth Goddard

Critical Alliance is the third book in Elizabeth Goddard's Rocky Mountain Courage series. I have read both the first book, Present Danger (you can read my review hereand the second book Deadly Target (you can read my review here). While they are all part of a series, they can be read separately.

This book is the story of Mackenzie Hanson, a professor of cyber security, and Diplomatic Security Services special agent Alex Knight. Through poor judgment in her youth, Mackenzie became estranged from her family for many years. She is back in Montana now to try to help what is left of her family to find out who is trying to sabotage the family tech business. Alex is back in Montana to get some well-needed rest and relaxation after his latest mission that failed. But instead of rest, he is pulled into the mystery that Mackenzie and her family are facing.

Ms. Goddard has a gift for creating well-developed, realistic characters that with their first appearance on the page pull you in and invite you into their fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat story. All the characters in Critical Alliance do just that.

I thoroughly loved this book and the entire series. I would highly suggest it to anyone who loves a good clean, fast-paced, suspense novel that leaves you wanting more.

On a 5-Star Scale - 5 Stars!!!!!

I would like to thank the author and Revell Books, for my copy of Critical Alliance. I received my copy for free with no expectation of a positive or negative review.  The opinions are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR. Part 255.

Crossfire by Lynette Eason

If you like romantic suspense novels then Crossfire by Lynette Eason is a must-read! It is the second book in the "Extreme Measures" series. The first book in the series is Life Flight and you can read my review here.  Both books can be read as stand-alone books, however, I would suggest that you pick up copies of both books as they are outstanding. While the first in the series was excellent, Crossfire is now my favorite book by Ms. Eason. The series is built around four friends that met in their younger years and they became like family to each other.

The characters, FBI Negotiator Julianna Jameson and Former Army Ranger Clay Fox who is now a school resource officer are well developed and they brought me into their story from the first moment they showed up on the page. This is definitely a gift that I see in all of Ms. Eason's books, her characterization is phenomenal.

Ms. Eason has created a book filled with fast-paced action and suspense with romance and a spiritual thread mixed in. It will keep you turning pages long into the night.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a clean romantic suspense novel. It releases on 08/02/22.

Crossfire is definitely a 5-Star read.

Twin Murder Mix-Up by Sami A. Abrams

I have quickly become a fan of Sami A. Abrams's writing. Her current Love Inspired Suspense release is Twin Murder Mix-Up, which is due out in September and it is the second book in her "Deputies of Anderson County" series. The first in the series is Buried Cold Case Secrets and you can read my review here. Both books are excellent and can be read as stand-alone books.

This book is the story of photographer Amy Baker and Detective Keith Young. While shooting some pictures in nature, Amy captures a murder on camera. The murderer sees her and while trying to kill her they kill her twin sister instead. Amy grabs her sister's baby and takes off running. The only person she can think of to run to is her childhood crush, Keith Young.

Amy's twin, Stacey, never told Amy who the father of her baby was and the reader doesn't find out until later in the book. It is a shock that can possibly end Amy and Keith's relationship.

I loved the characters in this book as they are very well-created and believable. I loved the progression of Amy and Keith's relationship while they were running for their lives. They battled through hurt feelings, feelings of betrayal, and then the sweet feeling of forgiveness.

I highly recommend Twin Murder Mix-Up to anyone who enjoys good romantic suspense. I also recommend keeping an eye out for more books by this author.

I give this book 5 Stars!

Elysium Tide by James R. Hannibal

I ventured into reading a book by an author I have never read before and was quite happy that I chose to read Elysium Tide by James R. Hannibal.

This story will take you from London, England to the shores of Maui, Hawaii within two chapters.

The story begins in an operating room where the reader first encounters Dr. Peter Chesterfield, a top neurosurgeon at the Royal London Hospital. Unfortunately, as good as he is a neurosurgeon he is also quite good at being an egotistical jerk. Since the hospital is a teaching hospital there is an arena where students can observe the operation. In this case, the operation was on a young boy to remove a tumor and when a second-year neurosurgery fellow makes an error that could cost the boy his life, Dr. Chesterfield lets her have it verbally. Sad to say, the parents of the boy were allowed into the arena to observe so they witnessed the error and the outburst. It caused quite a disturbance within the hospital so the good doctor is soon ordered to go on leave to Maui to attend some medical conferences and hopefully come back with a better disposition. No sooner does he get to Maui, he finds the body of a dead woman on the beach.

Detective Lisa Kealona worked for the Los Angeles Police Department when she was invited to join the Maui Investigative Services Bureau to head up their Criminal Investigative Division's Gang Task Force. This makes waves with another female detective who felt the job should have been given to her. When Lisa enters into the story she is investigating some car thefts on the island, however, she soon finds something a little more nefarious going on.

Peter can't seem to not get involved in being an amateur sleuth to try and find out who murdered the dead girl he found on the beach. Lisa decides to use him to consult with as Peter looks at things differently and maybe he can help her solve the crime.

Elysium Tide is packed full of fast-paced twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages long into the night. That, along with the Maui island paradise, the reader is in for a real treat.

If you love fast-paced crime novels with good detective work you will love this book. There was great mystery and the characters drove the story.

On a 5-Star Scale - 4 Stars.

I would like to thank Revell Books, for my copy of Elysium Tide. I received my copy for free with no expectation of a positive or negative review.  The opinions are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR. Part 255.

Sabotaged Mission by Tina Radcliffe

I am a big fan of Tina Radcliffe's work and when I received a copy of Sabotaged Mission, her first in the Love Inspired Suspense line, I squealed with joy. I am a huge fan of Love Inspired Suspense and I must say that Ms. Radcliffe's offering for the month of August is a wonderful addition to my collection. I hope she will continue in this genre as in my opinion, she has done a masterful job.

I have always enjoyed Ms. Radcliffe's characters and I can honestly say I love the characters she has created in this book.  The female lead is CIA operative MacKenzie (Mac) Sharp and the male lead is CIA officer Gabe Denton. They have a history together so the question is can they put it behind them so they can solve the case that has been handed to them? Also, will they be able to have a second chance at love? There is also a 100-pound bulldog named Winston who you can't help but fall in love with. I know I did.

After a mission that failed, Mac is left injured and her partner is presumed dead. But someone is after Mac and she doesn't know why. In order to survive, she goes off-grid. However, per orders from CIA headquarters, Gabe is to locate her and bring her safely into headquarters. However, someone tracks him and when he finally locates Mac, he also brings the enemy to her location.

In time, it is obvious that someone is trying to frame Mac and kill her. Gabe calls in his brother Ben who runs Denton Security and Investigations. With Ben's help, they try eluding the enemy only to find there is more than one person involved.

Sabotaged Mission is a very fast-paced, page-turner that will pull the reader in and captivate them until the final page. I loved everything about this book and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys fast-paced suspense that keeps you guessing until the end.

On a 5-Star Scale - 5 Stars!!!

Fatal Code by Natalie Walters

When I had the opportunity to read and review Natalie Walters's new book I jumped at the chance. Her newest book, Fatal Code is the second book in "The SNAP Agency" series and I can only say this book is just as good, if not better, than the first book in the series, Lights Out (read my review here)!

Elinor Mitchell is an aerospace engineer working for Lepley Dynamics. Her grandfather was part of a group of scientists who came close to finishing a nuclear energy project but never completed it. When her grandfather dies she takes it quite hard. He left notebooks behind that gave her comfort knowing they were his. What she doesn't realize is there are codes within them that can lead her to the cipher that is needed to complete the 'fatal code'.

The owner of Lepley Dynamics has hired the SNAP Agency (Strategic Neutralization and Protection Agency) because there is a leak in his organization causing important information to get to their competitors. Navy cryptologist Kekoa Young is a member of the SNAP Agency and was given the task of monitoring Elinor as she is suspected of leaking the information.  This soon leads to Kekoa having to protect her as well. Other countries are trying to secure the information from Elinor in any way possible.

All the characters in this series are well crafted and seem to come to life on the written page. I will say that Kekoa is my favorite character overall at this point. I loved the way he showed his soft vulnerable side when he was with his family and Elinor. I also loved Elinor's quirkiness when she wore t-shirts with scientific equations on them and also when she would tell her quirky jokes.

There were also moments that brought tears to my eyes such as the line on page 121 where, speaking about her grandfather, Elinor tells Kekoa, "It's like I can run my fingers over his writing and feel closer to him, read his words and hear his voice speaking to me." Or on page 222, "Kekoa's knees buckled, and his father ran to him, strong arms wrapping around him as he collapsed into them, releasing the sorrow, anguish, pain, and regret he'd been holding on to for fourteen years."

There are two things that interfered with me having a 100% enjoyable read. The first was located on page 50 when the author states Kekoa was living his own version of Grey's Anatomy without the medical part and also on the same page she referenced Mad Men. I have never seen either show and so the references fell flat for me. Also, with Kekoa being of Hawaiian descent, in the first quarter of the book there are a lot of Hawaiian words that in order for me to fully understand, I had to look the words up on the internet. This slowed down my reading pace. I will say that the pace picked back up once I got past all the Hawaiian words. I wish Ms. Walters could have included a glossary in the front or back of the book that contained all the words.

I would highly suggest this book to anyone who loves a good fast-paced, suspenseful romance novel.

On a 5-Star Scale - 5 Stars!

Among the Innocent by Mary Alford

I must admit that "Among the Innocent" is the first book I have read by author Mary Alford. I will also admit that it won't be my last book to read by Mary Alford. She has a talent for creating very believable characters and suspense that pulls you in and keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very last page.

The main characters are Police Officer Leah Miller and the new Police Chief Dalton Cooper. They hit the ground running from the start with a murder that has just occurred in the Amish community where Leah was raised in. Unfortunately, the murder is a reminder to both Leah and Dalton of a murder that had taken place years before when Leah's family was murdered in front of her and she was left for dead. Leah doesn't know that Dalton has a tie back to that murder as well.

I thoroughly enjoyed Ms. Alford's writing but I must say the content of the story was really hard for me to embrace as the villain in this story is a serial killer. I must say Ms. Alford kept me guessing and tied things up well in the end.

I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy Christian Crime Fiction but I would highly suggest it be for adults eighteen and older due to the graphic depiction of the murders.

On a 5 Star Scale - 4 Stars.

I would like to thank Net Galley, Revell Books, and the author for my copy of Among the Innocent. I received my advanced readers e-copy for free with no expectation of a positive or negative review.  The opinions are my own. The Catch by Lisa Harris

When I first discovered Lisa Harris her books held me spellbound and to be honest, they still do.

Her newest book, The Catch, is her third and final installment of the U.S. Marshals series and the reader finally finds out who killed Madison's husband (the case in the first book). Please note that even though this is the third book in the series it can be read as a stand-alone as there are references to the past.

The story is about Deputy U.S. Marshals Madison James and Jonas Quinn. During the course of this book, three cases are solved, the death of a judge's wife, a missing babysitter along with the baby in her care, as well as, discovering who murdered Madison's husband. Could they all be connected?

I find that when characters are brought to life on the written page and endear themselves to me through their actions and words, I don't hesitate to read more by the author. Ms. Harris creates well-rounded characters that seem to live and breathe between the pages. Madison and Jonas did just that for me.

The Catch is a fast-paced journey filled with suspense and mystery. You might find that the characters aren't necessarily as they seem. I found myself thinking ill of one character but in the end, well, I may have been wrong.

If you like fast-paced, edge-oh-your-seat action novels with a little bit of romance tucked in I am sure you will love The Catch.

On a 5-Star Scale - 5 Stars!!!!!

Until Leaves Fall in Paris by Sarah Sundin

Sarah Sundin is my favorite author of WWII fiction. It is obvious to me that she fully researches her subject for every novel she writes.

Her newest novel, Until Leaves Fall in Paris, is well crafted with endearing characters that pull you into their story and escort you through their journey.

The story begins on May 29, 1940 and ends on March 7, 1942. The story belongs to Lucie Gerard, a ballerina and the owner of Green Leaf Books in Paris. The male lead is Paul Aubrey, the owner of the Aubrey Automobile Factory in Paris. Paul is a widower with a young daughter, Josie, who is an adorable girl with an invisible friend named Feenee. Paul always wonders why Josie came up with the name Feenee. I could share the reason but that would be somewhat of a spoiler.

When Lucie and Paul first meet there is a spark but it is short-lived when she finds out that Paul is working for the Germans. But her knowledge isn't complete so she turns him away. At least for a while.

The Green Leaf Bookstore is a place for the resistance to come and pass notes to other resisters within the pages of books. When Lucie discovers this she asks to help but is turned down, for a while.

I could go on but I really don't like to present too much of the story as I hate spoilers. I will say that the characters are so well constructed that they felt real to me. I felt as if I knew them in some way other than through the pages of this book.

I would highly recommend Until Leaves Fall in Paris to anyone who loves to read novels set during WWII. With Sarah Sundin you will not be disappointed.

On a 5-Star Scale - 5 HUGE Stars!!!!!

Malicious Intent by Lynn H. Blackburn

After I read Unknown Threat the first book in Lynn H. Blackburn's "Defend and Protect" series I wanted more. When I had the opportunity to join Ms. Blackburn's Launch Team for the second book in the series, Malicious Intent I was beyond ecstatic. This book did not disappoint. From the first sentence to the last I was held captive by the characters, the suspense, the romance and even some laughter. This book even exceeds the first book in the series. Read my review of Unknown Threat here.

The lead characters are Dr. Ivy Collins, founder and CEO of Hedera, Inc., and US Secret Service Agent Gil Dixon. The backstory lets the reader know that in their youth these two characters were best friends and they were each other's first love. That is until Ivy left abruptly with no explanation. It is now fifteen years later. Ivy is working on a new prosthetic that is on the cutting edge of science but someone is trying to stop her. Gil is working on a counterfeit ring and his first encounter with Ivy since their youth is when he appears at her door to discuss the fact that some of the counterfeit money came through Hedera, Inc. When Gil and Zane arrive they find her front door ajar... By the end of the first chapter, you cannot put this book down.

Ms. Blackburn has created a great team of characters that are well-developed and who embed themselves within your thoughts so that you crave more and more from this wonderful author.

Within the covers of this book, you will find second-chance romance, suspense, some laughter, and a whole lot of intrigue. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves good romantic suspense.

On a 5-Star Scale = 5 HUGE Stars.

I received an ARC of Malicious Intent from the publisherI have chosen to leave an honest review.

Life Flight by Lynette Eason

Lynette Eason's newest book Life Flight is the first book in her new series "Extreme Measures". I can honestly say this book is my new favorite by Ms. Eason and I can hardly wait for Book #2.

Today was not going to be the day they died-not if she had anything to say about it." This is the first line in this book and it set the pace for the journey the reader will take through the pages.

EMS helicopter pilot, Penny Carlton, is forced to land her helicopter on a mountain during a storm. She has no way to communicate to her base so she leaves her patient and crew in the helicopter while she goes down the mountain for help. Little does she know there is an escaped serial killer loose on the mountain.

The male lead is FBI Special Agent Holt Satterfield. He and Penny have had a couple of 'outings' and telephone conversations but they aren't a certified couple. At least not yet. It is because of Holt that Penny survives the journey on the mountain and the attacks that followed.

Ms. Eason always creates wonderfully strong and well-developed characters and she didn't disappoint me with the characters of Life Flight. Penny found herself in high-stress situations over and over again and the way she handled herself was remarkable. I enjoyed the interplay between Penny and Holt as well. Then there are Penny's two friends Grace and Juliana, from her days spent in juvie. These three women are like the three musketeers and always have each other's back. Then there are the serial killers and let us just say they are worthy of being hated as Ms. Eason wrote them so well.

I would highly recommend Life Flight to anyone over 18 who loves a clean romantic suspense novel. The reason I stated an age is there are scenes surrounding the serial killer's actions that might be a little disconcerting to someone younger.

On a 5-Star Scale - 5 Stars!!!

I would like to thank Revell Books, for my copy of Life Flight. I received my copy for free with no expectation of a positive or negative review.  The opinions are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR. Part 255.

Buried Cold Case Secrets by Sami A. Abrams

I have always loved reading debut novels so when I had the opportunity to join Sami A. Abrams "Crime Scene Crew" I jumped at the chance. Her debut novel is Buried Cold Case Secrets and let me tell you it is an awesome read with fast-paced action and wonderfully developed characters. I can hardly wait for her next novel.

I have to say that Love Inspired did an awesome job on the cover art for Buried Cold Case Secrets. By just looking at the cover you can guess that the heroine is a forensic anthropologist.

Melanie Hutton, a forensic anthropologist, has just returned to Valley Springs, the hometown of her youth, to join the Sheriff's department as the new forensic anthropologist and medical examiner. But the town that once held fond memories of her childhood now only brings her grief, sorrow, and lost memories of what happened to her 15 years ago. At that time she and her best friend Allison were kidnapped, shackled, and beaten but Melanie cannot remember everything that happened or who held them captive. She has been haunted all the years since and has decided that she would come to Valley Springs to find the remains of Allison.

The male lead is Detective Jason Cooper, who just so happens to be Allison's older brother and who has not been able to forgive Melanie for escaping and leaving Allison behind to be killed. When bones are discovered at a trailhead, Jason is sent to check it out as is Melanie. But someone tries to attach Melanie and she escapes only to run right into the arms of Jason. This all happens within the first five pages of the book and the action doesn't slow down until the end.

I so thoroughly loved this book. From the beginning, I was drawn in and rooted for Jason to get over being mad at Melanie and prayed that Melanie would get her memories back so Allison's remains could be found and she could be laid to rest. If I could have read it in one reading I would have as it is a book you hate to put down. In fact, I wish I had a sequel to it right now as I grew to love both Melanie and Jason.

This book is a January release for Love Inspired Suspense and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys clean romantic suspense.

On a 5-Star Scale = 5 HUGE stars!
