THE FINAL NOTE by Kevin Alan Milne - a review.

I hadn't read any books by Kevin Alan Milne before reading THE FINAL NOTE but I will definitely put his name on my list of authors to follow.

THE FINAL NOTE is a sweet and bittersweet story of love, forgiveness, faith and hope.  From the Prelude to the Postlude, I was drawn in and entertained.  The Prelude takes place in present day.  The reader is then taken back in time where we meet Ethan who is studying music in Austria.  We then meet a young USC student on holiday in Austria.  From the moment Ethan & Anna meet, it's magic.  Each time he plays his guitar, Karl, she places a note between the guitar strings.  We are then taken on the journey of their life.  We experience their joy and their heartache.

I am never one to give out spoilers and I don't plan to do it now.  This book tells the story of two creative young people who meet, fall in love, get married and then hit life head on.  I would suggest that you have a box of tissues handy as there are several times within their story that I cried.

I would suggest this book to any adult and mature young adult who enjoys good clean Christian fiction.  My reason for suggesting 'mature young adult' is due to a story that is told within the book that revolves around the death camps of WWII.

I loved this book and would like to thank Sarah Reck of Center Street/Hachette Books for supplying me with my review copy.  I received my free review copy in exchange for my honest review.

Smiles & Blessings,
Cindy

  1. Please include me in this giveaway. I enjoy books revolving around WWII. Austria had many great musicians during WWII.
