Covenant Child by Terri Blackstock - a review

When a book can stir emotions deep within me, then I know I have read a well written book.  Covenant Child by Terri Blackstock was just such a book.  From the first page to the last Ms. Blackstock carried me away into a world filled with emotions that I didn't expect to experience.

The story is about twin girls, Kara and Lizzie, who lost their mother when they were only weeks old and then lost their father at the age of three.  Their step-mom, Amanda, loves them as if they were her own but they are taken away from her and given to the twin's maternal grandparents.   Unfortunately, they only want the twins because they are heiresses to their billionaire paternal grandfather's fortune.  While Amanda tries to reach out to the twins, their grandparents interfere and tell the girls lies about Amanda.

Covenant Child is an emotional journey of love, hope and greed.  I found my heart breaking for Amanda and the twins and praying for them as if they were real people.  Ms. Blackstock has created believable characters that could almost walk right off the written page.  I would suggest you have some tissues handy as you read this book.  If it touches you as it did me, you'll definitely need them.

I would like to thank BookSneeze  and Thomas Nelson for my review copy of Covenant Child.  I received my copy for free in order to read it and give my honest review which I have done.

On a 5-Star Scale - 5 Stars!!!!!

Smiles & Blessings,
