Whenever I have an opportunity to read a book by Tricia Goyer or a book written against the backdrop of WWII I jump at the chance. Chasing Mona Lisa filled both of these criteria.
One of may favorite time periods for historical fiction is WWII. I enjoyed Chasing Mona Lisa as it was a lesson in history. It was a sad story due to the horrors of war but to see how the nation of France pulled together to save their precious works of art was awe inspiring.
I found myself sitting on the edge of my seat and staying up long into the night while reading this book. I would have liked a little more romance but the suspense and action in the story carried me through and kept me on the edge of my seat.

This was my first expreience of reading anything by Mike Yorkey but I know when I pick up a Tricia Goyer book it will be a wonderful read. I wasn't disappointed.
On a 5-Star scale - 4 1/2 stars.
